Synopsis

You'd think surviving an assassination attempt would entitle Mia Luna Tearmoon to some rest and recreation--but in comes her old friend the great famine! Forkroad and Co.'s business has completely collapsed, and with it, the logistics Mia needed for her famine-prevention plan.

Mia's investigation reveals the culprit is a man she knows all too well: Shalloak Cornrogue, the Merchant King. In the previous timeline, Mia had suffered indignity at his hands. Now that he's meddling in this timeline as well, it's the perfect excuse for payback!
