On a late spring night, Detective Hudson Alriss stares down the barrel of his Colt pistol, wondering if that is the place he can find an answer. For weeks, he has been fighting for his sanity as he relives past lives in gruesome detail, bringing all of the memories and feelings into the present. Sleep only brings more nightmares, and not sleeping only enhances the raging voices in his head. Whether he's losing his mind or entering some strange religious journey, he's not sure, but the stress of his current case can't be helping.
The bodies are piling up and the police have no answers to a string of brutal murders. Karma, as the serial killer calls himself, seems to have no pattern in his psychopathic terror. Nobody feels safe and fear is beginning to tear the city apart at the seams.
Hudson needs to find the killer quickly to save the city, before his mind begins to rip apart.
